These characteristics prove you have true integrity.
Many would argue that true integrity is disappearing from the world.
To live one’s life with integrity means always being true to yourself and sticking to your own moral compass.
Some people find it harder than others to live with integrity, but these characteristics show that you truly have it.
1. They value other people’s time.
Because having integrity means you really know how precious time is, they do not waste the time of others. They will also not waste time on fruitless efforts, spending only time on the things that matter.
2. They give credit where it is due.
A person with true integrity will always allow credit where it is due, and not take credit for things they didn’t do.
3. They are authentic.
You will never find a person with true integrity lying to themselves, or others. They always stay true to what they really believe in.
4. They are always honest.
Honesty is a rare thing in today’s world. One with integrity never feels the need to lie, even if this means they go against the opinions of others.
5. They never take advantage of others.
The world is full of people who are ready to take advantage of others, but those with integrity do the opposite. They do not see a weak person as an opportunity to get a leg up in the world.
6. They do not argue over disagreements.
They will never see the need to argue over petty details. While many people will take the opportunity to argue whenever they can, a person with integrity sees arguing as a total waste of their time.
7. They give most people the benefit of the doubt.
Instead of forming unsolicited opinions, a person with integrity will always follow the ‘innocent until proven guilty’ rule. They do not wish to have negative opinions of anyone, especially when they aren’t true.
8. They know when something is bothering someone.
Because people with integrity are less self-centered than most, this gives them the gift of intuition.
9. They believe others.
Belief in others is strong in those with integrity. Because they never lie themselves, they are more inclined to believe others, which is a rare trait in today’s world.
10. They apologize first.
Why do some people find it so hard to say sorry when they are wrong? A person with integrity finds it very easy to say sorry first, every time they get something wrong.
11. They are humble.
You will never find a person with integrity bragging, even when they have done something outstanding – it’s just not in their nature.
12. They do good when they can.
They are always ready to help others, and do not consider doing things for others without getting anything in return a bad thing.
13. They are always kind to those who need it.
A person with integrity is always ready to pick up those in their times of need.
